Day 18, (29 July)
Today some of the Cape York gang we started on the trip with will be coming to stay in the camp for 2 days on their way back to their real lives. And eventually arrived late arvo.
Good to have them around camp again.
Allie made some Lemon curd at the van for the restaurant to use for a high tea event.
And I helped out with the cooking at the club - mainly on the deep fryer.

Day 19, (30 July)
We took some of the group out to waterfall (Murray Falls), and to the shops.
No work today, Crabbie dropped off some crab. Bit concerned we are not being paid fully for the work we have been doing. Will have to do some chasing.
Doug and Ness arrived later in the day, Ness 50th Party. Allie made an amazing cake with Barhams help.
Not many people can make a cake like this in a camp kitchen at the drop of a hat ! - Good work Allie x. Proud of you, pulling out all the stops for Ness.
Dale and Kylie dropped in from Mission Beach to say hello. They expect to be back Tuesday middayish.
Dale has kindly offered to pop into Toyota and bring down our tow hitch.
Day 20, (31 July)
Crab pots down in Wreck Creek, saw croc (see below).
Some of the group depart. Doug and Ness taking a break. We visit Rock Pools and Murray Falls 3rd time.
Day 21 (1 August)
Doug and Ness decided to stay an extra day, we put the crab pots out again, and had a fish. One Trevally to me, 4 Crocs today. Saw a huge Cassowary (which walked right up to us). Within 2 mtrs !!
Lots of undersize crabs, but one legal keeper crab for dinner tonight.
Car Update
Toyota sent us a txt yesterday (31 July) to have the car there for its scheduled work today (1 Aug) by 8am
Funny given its been there for weeks now, also funny given when I rang them today their mechanic was still off with Covid - they now say he will look at it tomorrow "if he has spare time".
