Cardwell Day 6

Feeling quite lazy today. We are both exhausted from the stress and the walking I guess. Still feeling a bit down having missed out on our dream trip after so much planning , hope and work, however we have decided not to let it get the better of us and with our last day with our rental car we set out on a  small journey north to some waterfalls.

We set out to have a big day, but it changed. We just ran short on energy and enthusiasm today.

We visited Murray Falls, which features an awesome camping spot - we will definitely stay here in future when passing through. By far the best waterholes we have seen in Australia.

A bit of Spherical Drone magic applied here to the image. A truly Magical spot.

Lots of small waterfalls and swimming spots here.

The Camp ground is a real cracker !. Showers (Cold) and Loos. Also a water tap.

When we got back Allie had a rest and I shot down to the beach to see what I could capture with the drone around the jetty area.

Chasing people along the jetty was well worth the trip :-)

Also, I had to get one arial photo of Cardwell while here

It sounds like the others are doing the Old Telegraph track today, but we are not certain. They seem to be most of the way up the Cape in under a week, which is pretty impressive going.

Car

We are going to call our insurance company tomorrow as the mechanic only tested for bad fuel by smelling it (in front of us). I have the concern they'll pop a new engine in it without doing this properly and it could well have been the problem all along - as we still have a full tank of gas.

Due to the full servo, we did actually fill up at a cheaper bowser (and we questioned that decision at the time) in Townsville (and we still have the receipt), so we think it may be wise to cover this off properly also at this stage. We can only ask the question.
