Cardwell - Day 24 - 25

Day 24 in Cardwell - thx Toyota - we still have no idea whats going on.

Will call them again midday tomorrow.

Looked at Lease on building in town for a business idea. Doing some due diligence and have talked with several other business owners about operating in Cardwell.

Working on a high level lease proposal to see if we can secure a low risk and cheap lease. Also looking at business grants for business development in the area - as it may hinge on that.
Just an idea we are sounding out at this stage. We certainly have the time to do the exercise :-)

Day 25 -  It is now Friday 5th August. We have been here 25 days and still have no answers on the car. I'll be ringing Toyota at midday.

Really we just need to decide to store the van and train it back to Brisbane - or to wait it out. Toyota is costing us a lot of money and stress thru lack of action and communication.

Basically a cloudy day, so a lazy one. Someone got a simple Breaky in bed as she watched trashy tv.

So after midday I called Toyota. They have pulled off the head of the car finally and will put a report to Toyota HO. This will take a few days and then parts are 4-5 weeks or so.

So we have decided to Tarin back Home (an 18hr trip), and come back up when it finally gets fixed.

We will store the van at Tully Toyota, and thr Fridge contents in the camp deep freeze.

We will train back up to collect our van and truck when we can - hopefully late Sept.

Train booked from Tully to Caboolture leaving Monday 8 August.
